Company Introduction

MPRI is an academic scientific and engineering center consisting of 5 research departments, Special Design Bureau with a pilot plant Metallopolimer and Editorial Boards of scientific journals Friction and Wear and Polymer Materials and Technologies. There are about 150 employees, among which one Academician and one Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, about 40 researchers with D.Sci. and Ph.D. degrees.

The Institute is engaged in fundamental and applied investigations within the scope of two main assigned trends:

1.interfacial phenomenon in polymer systems, physico-chemical bases of developing composite materials on the base of organic and inorganic polymers;

2. physics, chemistry and mechanics of surface, analysis of contact interactions, friction, wear and lubrication in engineering and biological systems.

The results of fundamental and applied investigations carried out in research departments of the Institute have been generalized in more than 100 nonographs, 30 doctoral and 160 Ph.D's dissertations. Institute's developments have been confirmed by more than 2000 author's certificates on iventions and patents.

MPRI NASB has long-term cooperative links with more than a hundred industrial enterprises and scientific centers in Belarus. Dozens of brands of import-substituting, export-oriented polymer composite materials have been created for the leading fields of economy. Their batch production is underway at the enterprises of the concern Belneftekhim. Special instruments have been exported in Russia, USA, Switzerland, France, and South Korea.
